i got a new baby common musk turtle today and i put it with my goldishes and betta, algue eater it seems to be happy exploring under the filter and going in to the betta fishes pot also i saw it going up for a couple of time to get air. Musk turtles do not need UV light but advise you to have something to get out of the water i have a filter that sticks out of the water so that will be agood place for it be bathe but if not i will get a basking area although they might mnot need it it is safe to have one. I also advise you to take your turtle out once a week and just leave it for 5-10min out in the sunlight or under a lamp but observe its every move. This is don so that they dont get ill also they take as much vitamin C as possible from the light and food this will interact a bond betwwen the owner and the turtle. take care of the turtle.
