I would like to know what sources are used to gather such info? A large number of dogs that are adopted from shelters across the country are not the breed they pick to use for identification. So, while Retrievers are "Popular" dogs, if any dogs from adoptions from shelters or rescues are included, they will need to recalculate their stats. None of the Pit bull breeds are on that list, yet the shelters are full of Adult Pit bull Terriers, somebody has to be owning these animals as pets for the shelters to be full of adults. Oh, the pups are there too, but they get put to sleep pretty quickly. When I walk my dogs, all I see are other people with a toy breed, or a Pit bull breed. Lists like this should indicate where they collected their data, or as far as I am concerned, they are just bogus. Contrary to popular belief you don't have to cut them all foo-foo either! They look beautiful with a full coat. Aw man!
