Pet store is the perfect place where you can find the good pet for you.
You have to select the best pet store out of all because all the stores cannot give proper support and service which you need.
Before choosing the pet store, you have to look for certain features.
Here are some of the features that you should look for in the pet store:
- The store which you have selected for getting the pet should be odor-free, spacious and clean.
- Don’t select the pet stores which are overcrowded with the pets.
- You have to check the place which is allocated for the pets and that place should not be dirty.
- Try to buy the pets which are raised in healthy, hygienic and roomy facility.
- Before buying the pets, you have to confirm that they don’t have any diseases or problems. Your pet will be affected with diseases if they are not taken proper care or if they are kept under unhealthy and unhygienic conditions in the pet store.
- The store which you have selected for getting the pet must be some what nearer to your home so that you can buy everything you need for your pet (from pet food leashes to anti-flea powders).
You will wonder after seeing the plants in the aquarium. An aquarium plant is very much important in the aquarium.
It creates a natural set up to the water in the aquarium for the fishes. The setting of an aquarium plant makes the fishes feel secure, safe and less stressed.
The plants are the place to hide, when the fishes feel threat. Some species do not survive in the aquarium without the aquarium plants.
There are two types of aquarium plants:
- Plastic plants
- Live or natural plants
Aquarium plastic plants: Maintenance is less or some times do not need any maintenance. A green moss is formed as layer on the plastic plant when they are present in the water for long time. Take out from the aquarium and clean with water.
Do not use any soap or cleaning agents, as they stick to the plant and contaminate water. Care should also be taken in the material with which the plant is made. This should be non-toxic.
Toxic plant material creates a problem for water breathing animals and may end up killing them. They can be used only for decorative purpose or referred as aquarium fake plant.
Parrots are intelligent birds when compared with other birds.
Parrots are colorful and are easily trained birds, but African grey parrots are not colorful and come in only grey color as their name indicates.
African grey parrot has predominantly two species
- Congo - grey in color with bright and cherry red tail
- Timneh sub species- grey in color and maroon tail
African grey parrots’ intelligence is similar and often compared with the intelligence of dolphins and chimpanzees. Grey parrots are very active; they run, climb and play most of the day. When in wild, they are social among their own species and love to be in the group rather than staying alone.
It can memorize and mimic 2000 different sounds. They can understand the use of many words they learn and can use those memorized words at appropriate times. African grey parrots are believed as the best speakers of all the parrots.
African grey parrots are interesting pets and live for the longest period of 65 years, but the life of some parrots is limited to 25 years. The life span of the parrot depends upon the lifestyle and the stress factor of the parrot.
One of the amazing breed in the dogs that any one aspire to get is a “boxer dog”.
These dogs have their individual behavior signs differing from other dog breeds.
The specific behavioral signs of this dog will itself let you know that it is a “boxer dog”.
The first look of a boxer dog can give you an impression of fearful, unattractive and awkward animal.
But, slowly this opinion changes and it will overcome by the grace, aptitude and affection of the dog.
The name “boxer dog” came from the way the boxer likes to use his front paws for just about everything. These dogs are stocky medium sized build. The temperament of these boxer dogs are active, playful, loyal, family oriented, intelligent, alert and have high energy levels.
The boxer dog can’t sit in one place- it always moves around and are always curious about the new things.
How ever, the boxer dog is not for every one. If you are looking for a pet that will lie down at your feet, move around occasionally and which does not seek much attention, then give up the idea of having a boxer dog as these dogs seek much attention, have loads of energy and require lot of entertainment.
Turtles are most fascinating pets to own, but many people get them without knowing how to care of them.
Caring for pet turtles is not a tough process, because they just require right space, shade, light and moisture for their survival.
You must know the requirements of the pet turtles before you plan to get them.
You have to place the pet turtles outside your home. All the Turtles hibernate in winter season; they won’t hibernate if they are kept inside. Liver diseases will develop if they won’t hibernate properly.
Some people keep the turtles inside their home and use refrigerators in order to make them hibernate. This is not a good process because hibernation in turtles will be interrupted if the refrigerator abruptly rises in temperature or if the power goes off.
Be sure to wash your hands after handling your pet turtles because some turtles do carry “salmonella“. The environment which is present around the turtle must be maintained in clean manner.
You must keep the water fresh and take out the waste present in the water. Try to arrange water filtration systems in the tank of your pet turtles to keep the water clean.
